I grew up in Ohio with a love of the Great Indoors - reading, writing, playing guitar, and making short films for school assignments with my friends. My older brother showed me how to edit them using two VHS tape decks. They were mostly inspired by Monty Python, and always involved a dummy we called Ralph getting thrown off a cliff or burnt to a crisp.

After nearly losing a fingernail tying balloon animals at a corporate picnic, I decided against clown school and instead moved to NYC to pursue filmmaking at the School of Visual Arts where I learned a little bit of every department and made a bunch of short films but came to like editing most of all, probably because it combines my love of music, photography, writing, and sculpture.

I love to collaborate and try new things, and I have an eclectic taste, whether it be a smart comedy, intense psychological thriller, character-driven drama, action, sci-fi, fantasy, or any quirky combination of genre-bending story with a unique approach.

I am a member of MPEG and ACE, and have participated in the Sundance Directors Lab, the IFP Narrative Lab, the Berlinale Talent Campus, ACE Editfest NY and have been a guest instructor at The Edit Center. I’m grateful to have met and worked with so many talented and wonderful people in this industry.
